Stop Smoking Start Living
What is Stoptober?
Stoptober - the 28-day national stop smoking challenge - is back.
Last year, more than 160,000 people successfully quit in the nation’s biggest mass participation stop smoking challenge ever. Why not add to that number this Stoptober?
Stopping smoking for 28 days means you’re five times more likely to stop for good and your local Stop Smoking Service can help you every step of the way. The friendly team offers support and advice on how to cope with cravings, what stop smoking treatments are available and clinics at convenient times.
Call Healthy Sefton on 0300 100 1000 for more details.
Remember, you are not alone in your quit attempt. Contact Sefton’s local stop smoking team and the national Stoptober campaign for as much (or as little) support as you want to help you stay on track. Visit: stoptober.smokefree.nhs.uk for more details.
All Stoptober support is free and includes:
- Stoptober pack full of information and resources to help you quit
- A 28-day mobile phone app and a text message service that both provide motivational pick-me-ups
- Detailed tools and tips for coping, as well as the encouragement and support from thousands of people going through the same thing via social media
Stoptober – it’s just like October but without cigarettes!
